Tomato hornworm caterpillars chew ragged holes in the flowers and leaves of plants and flowers. They also leave their droppings, or frass, on leaves. Your best chance at getting rid of the creatures is to use an insecticide or to enlist the help of natural predators such as wasps, which prey on caterpillars.
